SUSTAINED INVESTIGATION P. 2
Within my sustained investigations, layering and character design are the main factors that I put into my pieces. My work uses different techniques and media by using layers to create a 3D effect. A couple of my works use boxes and digital 2D art glued in to give that pop up effect. I experimented with different boxes, finding the wooden ones looked the best. This as well as using layered pieces of drawn art on top of foam to pop out the art, and give it depth.
I also develop characters in one scene and make personalities of those characters using the scenery and posing around them. I used the other objects around the character to tell a story within the piece. Within the scenery the colors and composition both play factors into giving a certain tone and personality to the piece as well.
